1. I'd say homeopathy had already been disproven six ways from Sunday

but I'd hardly consider Zicam's 1% zinc solution 'homeopathic.' That's a real dose, and spraying that much zinc up the nose can cause real loss of one's sense of smell.

It doesn't mean it's actually a homeopathic remedy, however. The 1% zinc gluconate solution makes it something other than a homeopathic remedy.

On edit: as to the efficacy of homeopathic remedies (or uselessness, as I believe), that's another matter entirely.

1. With regular medicine, the higher the dose, the stronger the effect. Taking a very high dose could create medical problems.

2. With homeopathic medicine, the lower the dose, the stronger the effect. At least this is what we have been told.

3. Zicam is a homeopathic medicine.

4. People who take larger doses of Zicam suffer a greater effect than those who take smaller doses of Zicam.

5. Using homeopathic logic, those who take the smaller amount of the homeopathic remedy should have the greater effect.
