Socialized medicine wins again over ours.
DUers answered my question in the Dems Abroad forum, and said
In England they make house calls, tho not as easily as in the past when some pattients abused it by overusing it.
In Germany, req'd by LAW to do it in extreme cases. A list of emergency docs is kept listed. A fee for it. -- On ambulances, a doc rides with it.{does that EVER happen in US?} == ER's usually you are seen in twenty minutes, tho sometimes wait hours. {THREE DAY wait in the poor people's hospital ER, in a pen pal's town back in the eighties. I guess they slept in chairs like some do at airports, and lived off vending machines. }
All good nitty gritty facts to use in the debate.
{no replies from any other nations, so ... anyone?}
PS 24 nations outlive us, vs only 2O when bush stole the election in 2OOO.
