The city wants to take the grease out of New York's greasy spoons - and its most tony eateries.
Health chiefs are urging the food industry to yank diet-busting trans fats out of the kitchen and replace them with more heart-friendly alternatives.

"To combat heart disease, the No.1 killer in New York City, we are asking restaurants to voluntarily make an oil change," said Thomas Frieden, commissioner of the city's Health Department.

" restaurants are the best in the world, but they can be even healthier."
