Acupuncture Testimonials here >
Edited on Sat Mar-11-06 11:36 PM by Dover
I've had several chronic pains in the last few years. One was in my feet and the other in my lower back/hips. After six sessions of acupuncture treatment (once a week for 3 weeks and then every other week) both problems are completely...and I mean completely gone. I began to notice the change after the second treatment. Plus it provides some very deep relaxation time.

Now I go just to maintain general good balance... chi :hippie:

Anyway, just wanted to shout that from the mountaintops!

Any other testimonials?

On edit: I also began to increase water intake (about 5-6 glasses per day) and Omega 3's.

3. Worked on a cracked sternum
after a car crash. Worked on a migraine.

Didn't work on chronic pain from spinal arthritis, though.

5. You need noni for that.
I swear, it's a natural inflammatory. Tahitians used it for arthritis for years.

11. No, mine is bad enough that I need real drugs
that help me do my Yoga that keeps me out of a wheelchair.

Some of us are just a little too sick for herbalism.

4. YAY!
My youngest son just had a treatment, his first. He has a chronic tendonitis that is in both forearms and his hands and he is a bass player. He is getting to lay off for a while, thankfully the school is letting him so I can't say much yet but I will send him this link. He does not post a lot but will read this if I tell him about it.

It only took you 6 sessions? That is great, you must feel like a million bucks to be rid of that pain.

6. Had chronic ear infections for years.
Antibiotics only gave temporary relief though I sort of kept them at bay with mullein oil.

Then one 20 minute session sitting up with two needles on either side of my neck drained the infection for good. I've been infection free for well over a decade now.

Also Oriental Botanicals are the only reason I have a living child. I was prone to miscarriages though never got checked out by a western practitioner. Had to drink a brew during my first and second trimester and all went well.

7. How about Accupressure/Reflexology?
My husband used to have SEVERE sinus problems which would lead to 3 day bed rests when it flaired up. Between Accupressure and dietary changes, he's had exactly ONE episode in the past 5 or so years.

I use accupressure all the time for headaches, sinus pain, menstrual cramps. Want to see the lightbulb go on for a female person? Make her cramps disappear in less than 60 seconds by using the pressure point on the shinbone.

There's a new book out that explores addressing emotional issues with accupressure. It's a great book. If anyone is interested in the title let me know and I'll go downstairs to get it.

10. I'd love to know the title. Thanks. For my success story, I will tell you
about a college friend of mine who got a severe sunburn -- he was desperate for pain relief, went to an acupuncturist to be treated, and was pain-free for the duration of the burn. His skin all peeled off, of course, but he was not in pain. It was pretty amazing.

13. Accupressure for Emotional Healing
It covers PTSD, Grief, Abandonment, Sexual Assault and so on. A wee bit lavender, but otherwise a very good manual and reference.

8. Heel spur. Three years of pain. I had tried everything but surgery.
Edited on Sun Mar-12-06 12:18 AM by BrklynLiberal
Three treatments in one week.
Most of the pain was gone almost immediately. The Dr put a little "clip" in my earlobe that I was to wiggle whenever my heel hurt. That stayed in place for several months. By the time it fell out, the pain was gone for good and never came back.
That was over 10 years ago.
I am a firm believer in acupuncture.

9. A friend had a stroke
and was still quite disabled 2 years later despite regular therapy. She was told not to expect much more.
Then she had acupuncture. Within a few months she was just celebrating. She talked about how she never thought it would be so exciting to be able to go to the bathroom by herself, something we take for granted.

She was restored to health. Sure shocked her doctors.

14. many things
myself--vision with herpes lesion corrected immediately after first session, slowly wore off, but then repeated with second treatment and stayed.

daughter--able to totally stop using antibiotics for sinus infections. Not just the acupuncture but some sort of herbal drops they made themselves and she put in her nose helped that. She had been on antibiotics several times a year and that totally stopped once she began acupuncture. Now she barely even gets acupuncture so it was a permanent change (she addressed allergies with NAET at the same time).

another daughter--acupuncture was one of a few energetic things she did before taking her doctor's advice to take medication for high blood pressure. It's now low, very normal. No medication. I also put her on some herbs but the blood pressure changed with the energetic treatments (including acupuncture).

15. Another thing lots of accupuncturists do that is very useful is EDS testin
g- also called MSA testing Electrodro Dermal Sceening/ Meridian Stress Analysis

Its documented in double blind studies to be the most accurate type of allergy testing
also tells how all organs are functioning, whether inflamed or depressed, etc.
what toxic exposures are affecting you, etc.

plus it is noninvasive and relatively inexpensive and takes very little time- unlike other methods
its a computer test, link to computer which checks out how everything is functioning

similar to Star Trek only real and documented effective
