is to drop extra insurance coverage and rely only on Medicare if the health reform falls through. We are right now paying 18% of our Social Security and 1 small pension for Medicare and a supplemental; that does not include co-pays or deductibles. We can't afford anymore or accept any less protection in our "golden" years.
The one thing I know is that the insurance companies and big pharma believe we need them more than they need us.

Doctors and other health providers are going to have to deal with a new reality and that is if you want patients you may have to change the way you charge.
I would like to see how fee for service charges compare with how it is done in other countries under other systems of payment for the same procedures (major to minor).
So my manifesto is to declare to one and all that I may need food, housing, clothing, medical treatment, etc but all those systems need me too. And they need everyone of us.
We have power to use and these groups only understand power that is used.:evilgrin:
