Mail order meds-still targeted or under the radar...
I was able to get my latest free sample of advair. Too bad it's 1/5 th the dosage & only a 14 day supply.

The stuff is overpriced to say the least. With insurance they want $260.00 for the damn thing. Sadly I need it.

So I look online & there are loads of advertisers for Canadian pharmacies offering 3 for a bit less than $100.00. I could afford that-but I can't afford to loose that if you know what I mean.

So...is it a as long as you don't get caught thing?. Are they still targeting pharmecutical mailings?.

Anyone with real world info please let me know what to expect.

2. When I took things on patent, I mail ordered from Canada
and I never had any trouble. You do need a cooperative doc who will write a new prescription and you do need to fill out their questionnaire. A Canadian physician rewrites the prescription according to their laws and then you get your meds. Refills take about ten days, at the most.

You won't be able to get pain medication from Canada, so I honestly think the PO doesn't check those packages too carefully. While you can order that stuff from other countries, you're taking big chances with both the legal system and pharmacies that aren't on the up and up.

As long as you're not opening a storefront and reselling this stuff, there shouldn't be a problem. The reimportation laws were targeted at operations in Florida that imported cheap drugs from overseas and resold them here at a steep discount.

As long as you aren't ordering from India or Romania, you should have no problems.

3. I picked up a new prescription today
so that I can fax it to a Canadian pharmacy to fill. I also take Advair and cannot afford prices here. My understanding is that it is ok as long as you only fill a small amount for your own use.

4. Awsome-At least there is a way
Not that we should have to go through all the hoops dagnabit!

But thats just what I needed to know. I'm just getting this for myself.
I'll get the Dr. to write a new scrip. She's been really great about helping me out. But her supplies were cut back to these limited samples. New way to pinch I guess.

Once again, THANKS!

5. Ask about replacement package policy
> Are they still targeting pharmecutical mailings?.

At the international mailorder pharmacy where I work, we have a replacement policy such that if anything happens to your package as it's supposed to be getting delivered, we replace the shipment at no additional cost. If you end up getting the initial package (maybe it just got held up at one mail depot along the way), you can either pay for that or send it back for a full refund.

Either way, no matter who you're dealing with make sure to SPEAK with them directly, ask about refund policies as well as what happens when or if there is a mail delay or delivery problem (which in my 9 years of experience is infinitesimal). :-)

6. you can order from other countries.
Apparently everything comes thru JFK, from the stickers I've seen.

I think the repackaging is such that there are very few problems with customs seizures due to the sheer volume of mail coming from other countries.

Example: Spiriva is very expensive asthma medicine - $7 per capsule. About $200 per month for 30 caps. Can get it overseas for $1 per capsule.
