1. It's the simple things in life

This is a good reminder that to enjoy eating, it is the quality that counts, not the quantity.

2. Been there. I am just now able to eat food after 7 months. I understand how one

becomes almost obsessed with it. I ran the 'Food Network' 24 hours a day and read through dozens of cook books. Now I can eat, but have limited taste buds. Ebert's so right about the impact not being the lack of food, but the hit to social interaction. I was a pretty good cook and loved to try new recipes. It's all gone. During my worst periods, I asked people what good it was to go on living without having the enjoyment of eating.
