Hospitals use extremely high radiation levels in some cat scans - for
"clearer imaging" - up to 13 times normal radiation level!
Results in hair and memory los - maybe much more?
Practice seems widespread -

This is NOT reported because it is done deliberately, so it must be OK (because a doctor is doing it!)

2. This crap scares me they discovered a spot on my lung
about 2 1/2 years ago and have taken a CT scan every 6 months since. I don't know what to do stop the scans and it turns out to be cancer or keep getting scans and posibly get cancer from them. I have suspicians that is the plan they say you have a spot on your lung, hell I don't know, they just say I do.

4. It wouldn't surprise me if they did this on purpose
There is a whole industry based off of cancer.
What better way to get yourself some new patients than expose them to a bunch of radiation during a "routine scan"?

9. Yeah, I agree it is pretty bad
I have been treated for cancer and so have both an oncologist and a radiation oncologist. I am amazed and grateful that people even go into this area of medicine. I am past treatment now (and hope to stay that way), but I know they see patients in all kinds of conditions. There is no answering service for oncologists - they are ALWAYS available. And I can tell they really feel for their patients and would do anything they could for them. There is no pay high enough to get someone to go into a field like this - I suspect for most people involved in oncology, their career choice is a real vocation. To suggest that they are just in it as a big money making scheme is offensive.

12. So because you had compassionate doctors, it means they are all compassionate?
Ha ha.

Eh...it's all an industry.

One company who makes a cancer-causing agent also has the patent for a drug that treats cancer.
Health care in this country is a business and cancer is no exception.

High radiation levels cause serious problems to the health. Your shared articles tells many examples of many patients who are suffering from its effects. They all have serious problems which are difficult to solve out.
