Weird flu shot soreness
Over Labor Day Monday, the SO and I want to get our flu shots. In and out early this year. I got mine in the upper left arm.

No problems, no feeling icky the next day, either. Didn't think about it after that.

So, went to an event this past Saturday in which we were watching a cooking demo. SO was standing right behind me and massaging my shoulders and arms. How nice I thought. Relaxing.

I get home and the next day, I have a feeling like there's a glass needle filament in my arm. Sore, but only when I massage that part of my arm. Then I remembered that was the same place the shot was. Wierd.

:wtf:

Took two days for that sensation to die down. What was that?

1. Got my shot a couple of days ago. I have a bit of soreness in
that arm, but nothing serious. Could be the needle damaged a nerve. If it went away, I wouldn't be concerned. The massage may have disturbed that.

2. I always make them give the shot in my butt
Yeah, the deltoid is convenient but that gluteus muscle is bigger and less likely to be sore afterward. I get the body aches the next day that say I'm mounting an immune response, but that's it.

Chances are they just irritated a nerve in the area.

3. It happens. No biggie. Maybe the needle nicked a teensy weensy unimportant nerve.

4. Don't worry - you were probably exposed to the flu since then
and that's just the nano-bots doing their thing.
