GRAND RAPIDS — Twelve years ago, the most time-consuming part of Dr. Bill Stratbucker’s job was convincing parents their children did not need antibiotics for certain illnesses.
Today, vaccines have replaced antibiotics as the doctor’s biggest discussion point with parents.

Parents who choose not to vaccinate their children often fail to understand they risk more than their own children’s health — they put other children and adults at risk, Stratbucker says. (emphasis mine)

In working with parents who are concerned about vaccinations, Letts tells them, “The facts are they do work in preventing disease, and they save lives.” (emphasis mine)
