I must admit, I was saying that the whining of the conservatives about Miers' nomination was a smokescreen to get the Dems/Left to warm up to her, then WHAM! We get a nutjob in WITH OUR APPROVAL!

Now, they have no-one to blame but themselves . . .

This looks like GOP mutiny, pure and simple.

And actually, Democrats have a free hand to force a filibuster now because there was no serious opposition to her. Even Reid came out repeatedly FOR her.
