The Republicans "Borked" Harriet Miers
She wasn't conservative enough for them, so they wouldn't let her on the "Supreme" Court.
You may remember when Robert Bork was rejected for the SC a few years back. Bork was rejected, because of his role in Richard Nixon's scandalous "Saturday Night Massacre", but the Republicans don't want anybody to know the truth, so they always say that Bork was rejected, because he was "too conservative".
"How dare those Democrats reject Robert Bork, just because he's so conservative. This is supposed to be about qualifications, and judicial temperment, not political beliefs..." blah blah blah. They go on and on and on like programmed cyborgs repeating the same line over and over and over.
Suddenly, the Republicans have flip-flopped. They now feel it's ok to reject a nominee because of their degree of "conservatism".
Harriet, you've been Borked!
