Militia Raided in Alabama

Federal officials have raided the "Free Militia" in Alabama, nabbing 250 grenades and improvised explosive devices and 2,500 rounds of ammunition.

Federal officials consider the group to be "violent", but did not recover any "targets". All have been charged with conspiracy to make a firearms.

Arrested were Raymond Kirk Dillard, 46, Adam Lynn Cunningham, 41, Bonnell Hughes, 57, and James Ray McElroy, all of Collinsville, Alabama; Michael Wayne Bobo, 30 of Trussville, Alabama and Randall Garrett Cole, 22, of Gadsden, Alabama.

Then yes, all these devices should be legal, and more.

This is a common argument for gun-types, that only by personal ownership of firearms can the power of the government be checked.

personally, I think gun ownership has as much to do with protecting civil liberties as pornography has with procreation.
