SALEM, ORE. -- The head of Oregon's youth correctional facility at Woodburn has resigned amid a criminal investigation by Oregon State Police and an internal review.
Superintendent Darrin Humphreys quit his job at the MacLaren correctional institution on June eighth.
The director of the Oregon Youth Authority, Phil Lemman, said the focus of both reviews stems from when he was director of the 50-bed River Bend transitional center for young offenders near La Grande.
He had been at the 300-bed Maclaren school since February 1st.
Lemman declined to release any details of what led to the investigations. State police also declined to release details.
