If you believe this is racist,
you need to get your heads checked.
CLUBS HAVE DRESS CODES.At the very worst, you could call it social discrimination, but racist? Absolutely not.
I myself had a 5 year career as a bouncer/doorman at several NY clubs. I don't care what color you are- respect the dress code you don't get in. I rejected several white people each night. Pull your pants up, turn your hats forward, no white T's and you're good. It's as simple as that. Clubs aren't publicly traded franchises. One club I worked at had a dress code of NO SPORTS ATTIRE. I guess they're racist toward everyone? There's a fine dining restaurant in town that turned me down because I wasn't wearing a suit jacket. If they said no to a Latino, you'd call them racists.
There is also a flip side too it. Some clubs tell the bouncers to enforce the dress code when necessary. 90% of the time it's when the patrons are loud and obnoxious, already drunk or giving the staff a hard time. If the bouncer says there's a dress code and you start yelling at him for it, it doesn't matter if you change into a tuxedo- you're not getting in. PERIOD. The other 10% of the time is when you think they don't have money and by that, I have rejected every single race in the world.
I'm tired of people pulling out the race card on night clubs. You think they like to reject business? Bouncers talk to thousands of people a week, they know who's going to be a problem. I don't care "how dark" it is. If you dress like Carlton Banks and we have room- you're in. I also don't care if you're Donald Trump. If you're drunk- you're done.
But what do I know? The same as you guys: NOTHING. We weren't there. Show me
evidence that these kids weren't acting up with the bouncer.
Not a far stretch for college kids if you ask me. I've been to MOTHERS and I know they're good people that don't want to deny entry to anyone. If you look at the photo's on the club's websites, you'll see that plenty of black people as well as other races:

swear, some activists are so fueled with anger, if I said "what's up brother?" they'd think it was racist.
