Today I learned about MLK
http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=2269

I had always assumed that Dr. King was a forerunner for racial equality. I did not know about his feelings about American imperialism and wealth distribution.

This guy was awesome. Very prescient.

2. IMHO, the real reason he was assassinated was his outspoken stances on American imperialism
and especially the gross inequities of wealth distribution in the United States. The powers that be could see the writing on the wall: the logical path of the civil rights movement WOULD BE civil rights and freedoms for all. What they did not like was the challenge to their wealth and power.

3. That same thought occurred to me.
That same thought occurred to me after I read the article. Then I thought "Oh that's a conspiracy-nut thing!" And then I thought, "Hmmmmmm."

4. The shrill accusation of "conspiracy nut" or some similar demeaning description serves one purpose:
to curtail scrutiny of the conspirators. Unfortunately our American history is rife with proven conspiratorial conduct. King was murdered because he questioned the validity of the Lords of Money.
