Citizenship and the United Nations
Would it be possible for the United Nations to keep some citizenship records?

For example, if one person has two citizenships and wants to renounce one of them, but the official process for renouncing the one that the person wishes to renounce is difficult, then could the United Nations provide an easy process as an alternative to that difficult process?

Another example: suppose some government tries to deprive a person of citizenship by falsely claiming that the person never had citizenship to begin with. A government that can falsify its own records might not be able to falsify the United Nation's records.
