On Friday, I overheard an OLD guy (possibly a veteran) in a (socialist) public library

talking about "reducing costs" measures being thwarted.

He was talking about the idea of the Post Office not delivering mail on Saturdays. He was all for cutting the Sat. delivery. But he said, not verbatim, "Ya know why it won't happen? Post office employees vote."

I was sorely tempted to tell him that maybe old, feeble-minded guys shouldn't be allowed to vote, either ...

What does him commenting about cutting Saturday delivery (A move many are in favor of) have to do with a "Socialist" library, Socialism in general, OR Veterans?

Just angry and wanting to vent, but not sure what the anger is really about or where it should be directed.
We do it here all the time.
And yet, we think "we" are far superior to "them."
