5. And pocket change to buy a gallon of gas.
My dad brought home a salmon and gray Mercury Montclair hardtop(I think it was) with white leather interior in 1952, maybe. What a sleek car that was.

8. We pooled our pocket change to put gas into my folks car before
we brought it back home. It was a 1955 Dodge Coronet with the neatest gearshift. It stuck out of the dash to the right of the steering wheel and you slid it up and down to shift. The one we had was light gray.

It was far from being a hot rod, but we had a lot of fun driving it.

6. i did love driving my grat-aunt's 67' catalina, but
i'd rather have another 72' delta 88 or a early 70's pontiac. i SOOOOO wants a turtle car. and i was hit by a flying wheel and tapped a few times in my 72' delta, so i didn't need airbags. oh, and hi a concrete barrier in a skid. never felt a damned thing and my bumpers always came out perfect.
