Anyone else heard the latest Pete Peterson screed on the radio?

I woke up to it this morning.

It went on for quite a long time and 'seemed like it was part of the "news" as it was on the all news station. Then I started hearing the speaker (I don't think it was Peterson himself) go on about the "anti entitlement" b.s. and the Call to America to stop government spending. We got literature stuck in our door this week that they are having meetings soon, too.

We better unite!

These folks are serious, they have tons of money and Obama's ear. They want to privatize SS and reduce/eliminate Medicare. See this link:

I live in a gated complex so, apparently, one of my neighbors is one of his (PP's) advocates. His group is going to be holding nationwide meetings this summer and 'want to sway public opinion against senior citizens "entitlement" programs.

This has always been considered the "third rail" I know but I wouldn't put it past THIS Democratic president to be the one to begin to dis-mantle these programs in order to curry favor with rethugs.

It's still politics. Organize to stop it. You can't stop this person from speaking, you know. You just have to speak better, louder, and more effectively.
