WooHoo! Charlie Chan! RETROVISION!
I LOVE Charlie Chan movies.
Found some for FREE on retrovision.tv
http://retrovision.tv/freevideo/charlie-chan-in-the-chinese-ring-1947

OK, rail on about 'Asian stereotypes', etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.
I STILL like Chan flicks.
Grew up watching them.

OK, sidekick Mantan Moreland was another stereotype.
I mean...COME ON?...a black guy named 'MAN TAN'?
But he was a great comic actor.

Anyway, enjoy retrovision.
Fun website.

P.S. Thanks to whoever posted the link to retrovision here at DU.

7. For those who might find themsleves more inclined to listen to audio...
...there are many absolutely wonderful Oldtime Radio programs one can find on Shoutcast.com to listen to. One of my favorites is Antioch OTR but if you type in "otr" into the search bar you can find many others, some covering just a certain genre. I don't recall any stations that broadcast Chan (I'm pretty sure there was a radio serial for him) but there are lots of similar shows, including Blackstone, etc.

11. Thanks. I read the book about the real 'Charlie Chan' a while back.
"Charlie Chan: The Untold Story of the Honorable Detective and His Rendezvous with American History"

Fascinating.
