Has anyone tried MSM? I have been taking it for a few weeks...
First I read all about it....decided to try it...one benefit I am experiencing is no more foot cramps...I can kneel without my foot cramping immediately....other issues I have are improving.

It is an interesting mineral and there are no known side effects of taking it...any excess not needed is flushed..

Helps with pain of arthritis....and is an energy boost among other things....and it's over the counter...lots of info on the web about it....worth checking it out folks!

I take it in powder form with vitamin C...the C boosts the effect of the MSM....

1. I've been taking glucosamine/chondroitin, which I guess is similar to MSM, for
years. I discussed it with my dr. and she said some people definitely benefit from it. I was having some problems with my knees and it cleared up in about a month.

2. Information on MSM

Only some very small trials have been conducted, and no conclusions drawn regarding its effectiveness.

3. I am trying it to see if it works for me....so...it's my own trial..
worst thing I see that happens is loose stools...in which case you back off the dose or stop it....

as I mentioned...foot cramps stopped....

found this page today so I am not imagining this..ha!

4. It's available, and you can use it if you choose.
I was just providing some information, since many people don't even know what it is. I'm neither for it or against it.

5. Yes! I've been taking 'Triple Strength Joint Soother' for over 15 years.
It has Glucosomine, chondroitin, and MSM (MethylSulfonlyMethane).
It has cured the arthritis in my knees and fingers.
Really.

No side effects for me.
Takes about 2 weeks for it to kick in.
At least for me.

A friend told me about it in the late 90s.
He cautioned me not to expect immediate results.

My knees used to sound like flexing a bag of gravel.
You could hear the cartilage or whatever.
Now they're smooth as silk.
Fingers too.

I know we're not supposed to solicit or push medical remedies on DU, but his stuff really works for me and many of my friends.
The cheapest I've found is online at Puritan's Pride.
It's pretty cheap.

7. I take Vitamin E at night for leg cramps.
I would awake in the middle of the night with awful cramps in my lower leg. I read somewhere that Vitamin E would prevent cramps at night. I tried it and viola! no leg cramps.
