People aren't buying the Social Security scam
Bush has kept his promise to make Social Security a priority issue and to talk about it often. The more he talks about it, though, the more he convinces people that he's up to no good.

There's a new USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll:

"The poll, taken over the weekend, showed a steady erosion in the president's handling of Social Security since early February, when 43% approved. Now, 31% approve and 64% disapprove, the first time disapproval has risen above 60%."

1. Keep up the pressure
They have taken this to a back seat in the news thinking it will cool off and then they can ram something through.

We need to be ever vigilant on this and pay attention to all the news. What am I saying, this is DU and that is what we do.

Here is my line on Social Security:
Why would we invest sure money in an organization, the stock market, that was basically responsible for the creation of the program to start with. When people lost everything they had in the stock market crash of 1929, Roosevelt was determined to keep it from happening again.

2. I rated that baby a five gold stars!
That's why I got into politics in 2000 was to work for the future of SS and even though it's gone way beyond SS..it's still my pet issue!

3. It seems Americans do not want a government that is a "starved beast"
so that the elites could take over. I wonder why? Could it be that Americans like their government and the chance to share the insecurity of lifelong earnings? Could it be Americans refuse to drink the kool-aid and learn to hate people who are less fortunate than them?
