I just finished watching a clip on CSpan from Friday after Snow's meeting with the *. They are ready to start a full-fledge campaign to "inform" the public about the "crisis" facing SS. The lies they are about to feed to the media, and thus the general population need to somehow be combatted. I think we need to get organized somehow to get the truth about SS out to the people.
I think it needs to be a 3-pronged campaign of our own. I don't think we should wait and react. I think we need to be more proactive. Congress and the media need to be contacted by people who know the truth behind the myth being spread by *&Co, so that they know we know. In addition, I think we need to figure out some way to get the news out to the public without the media, because I don't expect a lot of help from them.
Is anyone interested in working towards this? We could start by generating a list of ideas on this thread.
Some ideas:
Sending links of articles with the truth, and data by people who use real math
Sending requests to Congressional members urging them to not support *'s agenda
Getting more people involved-grassroots efforts
Passing out informational and easily understood flyers or pamplets on the truth about SS
Bumper stickers- There is a site that makes very simple but inexpensive stickers with any phrase you'd like.
