I was amazed to find the complete Cosmos Carl Sagen series on Youtube

Cosmos: A Personal Voyage is a thirteen-part television series written by Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan, and Steven Soter, with Sagan as global presenter. It was executive-produced by Adrian Malone, produced by David Kennard, Geoffrey Haines-Stiles and Gregory Andorfer, and directed by the producers and David Oyster, Richard Wells, Tom Weidlinger, and others. It covered a wide range of scientific subjects including the origin of life and a perspective of our place in the universe.

The series was first broadcast by the Public Broadcasting Service in 1980, and was the most widely watched series in the history of American public television until 1990's The Civil War. It is still the most widely watched PBS series in the world.




Some are in the new HD youtube format and each are in approximate 10 minute sequences
making up 6 or 7 parts to each subject or chapter to his series.

These could be downloaded and complied to compliment your video library.

so those that can't afford to buy the DVD can use youtube
probably available on bit torrent too but I never use peer to peer.

There is also a pretty good depth of science programs on youtube.

4. I gave the wrong link to some of the better recordings of the show

If anyone wanted to copy the series you need to pick and choose.

Some recordings are better than other.

5. The episode on the Brain reminded me why he hated war

Seems like the rulers are working only with their brain stem.

I think this series should be put on PBS again.
Sagen was so far ahead of his times.
