Alka-Seltzer.... IN SPAAAAAAAACE...
Saw this on Fark. What do you think would happen if you slipped an Alka-Seltzer into a glob of water... in zero-g?

8. Doesn't play for me either
Edited on Sat Jan-16-10 10:02 PM by Occulus
Other YouTube videos play fine. There's also a small, vertical pink line just below the progress bar at the ten second mark that doesn't appear in other videos. I think the video is now busted for some reason.

edit: I had to use the YouTube Downloader to get the video. I'm posting the link to the application I used because it is tres useful in situations like this one.

Also, if you have an iPod Touch or iPhone, you can just plop it on your iDevice unaltered after you download it with this little app. How cool is that?

3. Having done some work with surfactants
I wasn't surprised that the sphere of water held together or that it snatched the tablet from the astronaut's fingers & drew it into below the water's surface. I expected more droplets to have sufficient energy to break away from the main sphere of water, however.

In the second part of the video, I thought to myself, 'I would SO pop that big bubble!' I was pleasantly surprised to see that the astronaut did exactly that.
