Here is a perfect way for the deaf or spies communicate.

The prototype device could allow people to conduct silent phone conversations.

The prototype that is on display in Germany uses nine electrodes that are stuck to a user's face.

The electrical pulses are then passed to a device which records and amplifies them before transmitting the signal via Bluetooth to a laptop.

There, software translates the signals into text, which can then be spoken by a synthesiser.

1. Excellent! But for another reason

I had an idea for a similar device, using basically the same technology/strategy, except it would be in place of typing. I bet that will evolve from this.

I would probably write books if I could just sort of let it go straight from my brain via some neuromuscular sensor into text. Course, then we are wide open to having our thoughts monitored.

Try having a thought without any accompanying muscle movements. I'm not sure if they're in the throat or where, but I know they exist and could be interpreted.
