FRIB Earns CD-1 Milestone

I know everyone's all excited about the Hadron collider at CERN, but MSU's cyclotron lab is one of the best in the world and is in a huge expansion project to change to a linear accelerator.

My dad worked at the cyclotron for 37 years and helped build and maintain the cyclotrons and much of the rest of the equipment. He died last spring, but he was seriously excited about the lab's new stage of growth. We're going to get some seriously interesting science out of Michigan State in the years to come.
