SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. (AP) - Scientists from North America and Europe are gathering in Snowmass Village this weekend to study Ice Age fossils recovered from a reservoir under construction.
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science says more than 3,250 fossils have been recovered from the site.
Scientists have just two more weeks remaining in the seven-week dig at Ziegler Reservoir before construction of the reservoir resumes.
Researchers are expecting 37 scientific experts from 15 institutions in the United States, Canada, Spain, and England who will visit the site this weekend and study the discoveries.
