I've been spending time at solarstormwatch.com measuring storms on the sun, from images taken by the STEREO satellites. It's loads of fun. But wow! I'd love to be able to take photos like these!

5. I love solar observing
For one thing, it's astronomy that you can do during the daytime. In fact, you pretty much have to. :P Hydrogen-Alpha (HA) filters are expensive but fortunately our club has one for loan to its members. Here's what the view looks like through one:
