Crews look for signs of damage after NASA puts hold on future flights

Discovery docked with the international space station Thursday after performing an unprecedented back flip so that the station's crew could snap photographs of the shuttle’s belly and check for signs of damage.

“Neither of us saw anything really alarming,” station astronaut John Phillips told NASA mission control.

About an hour after the 360-degree flip, the shuttle linked up with the station. Once the crews make sure there are no leaks, the hatches between the two spacecraft will be opened for a welcoming ceremony...cont'd

2. I wonder if they should shrink-wrap the tank?
Would a plastic pallet stabilization film keep bits from falling off I wonder?
