Fingers Point to Male Aggression

FRIDAY, March 25 (HealthDay News) -- Canadian researchers say they've found a way to help 'finger' men with physically aggressive personalities.

A University of Alberta study finds that measuring a man's index finger length relative to his ring finger length predicts his predisposition to being physically aggressive.

The shorter the index finger relative to the ring finger, the higher the amount of prenatal testosterone and the more likely the man will be physically aggressive, they researchers say.

In a prepared statement, study co-author Dr. Peter Hurd admitted he initially thought the finger-aggression link was "a pile of hooey," until he reviewed the data.

For years, my friends and I have used the same observations of index and ring fingers to determine a) penis size and b) sexual orientation. It hasn't failed yet!

7. yes and they are doing research at the University of Texas on

lesbian fingers. Researchers believe that lesbians have shorter index fingers than ring fingers because we are flushed with male hormones before birth. My lesbian students and I (I'm a lesbian) checked out our fingers. According to the study, almost none of us were *real* lesbians even though we were in long term relationships. Many of us were also femme lesbians and lacking the requisite masculinity.

8. As soon as my husband got home last night I checked his

fingers. His index and ring fingers were equal in length. Then, when I started telling him about all the problems of the day with the contractor who's building an addition to the house--failed framing and electrical inspections, etc.--it appeared that his index finger shortened!!!

We both got a good laugh out of that. We're hoping his finger doesn't shorten anymore or he'll punch the guy out!
