The Witch Hunt in Kansas by Phil Kline may be over soon...

Planned Parenthood President Peter Brownlie today said the Kansas Supreme Court's ruling on abortion records held by Johnson County prosecutor Phill Kline affirmed an image of Kline as a "political zealot" on an anti-abortion crusade.

The Supreme Court issued a written opinion instructing Kline, who was attorney general until 2007, to return the full set of patient medical records tied to the ongoing prosecution of the Overland Park abortion clinic.

Attorneys for Planned Parenthood had asked the Supreme Court to intervene, alleging Kline was acting improperly in advancing criminal charges against the clinic.

“We are very pleased by the court’s decision,” said Brownlie, president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood. “The court confirms what Planned Parenthood has said all along: Phill Kline is a zealot pursuing a lawless prosecution and misusing the people’s trust to advance a radical anti-choice political agenda."

1. I liked this quote
In the Supreme Court's ruling, justices used harsh language to describe Klines conduct.

"Kline exhibits little, if any, respect for the authority of this court or for his responsibility to it and to the rule of law it husbands," the opinion says. "His attitude and behavior are inexcusable, particularly for someone who purports to be a professional prosecutor. It is plain that he is interested in the pursuit of justice only as he chooses to define it."
