Oswald donate a song about experiencing miscarriage to child loss charities around the globe.
Miscarriage is constantly linked to the pain of a woman losing her unborn, yet rarely is thought to have any effect on the male. Having fatherhood taken away from Tom was a nightmare come true, and this nightmare has been brought to light through the heartfelt words of Little Soul.
Little Soul was written by Tom lead singer of Oswald as his means of coping with his pain. Singing it unleashed Tom’s emotions and enabled him to move on from his tragedy by communicating it to the world.
Little Soul touches each and every person who hears it. Being written by a man who has delved into the depths of his emotions, Little Soul is tragic but beautiful and unleashes the pain and sadness of Tom’s own loss. Tom takes this taboo subject, something usually brushed under the carpet and transforms it into something unique and wonderful to raise awareness and inspire hope.
“I cry every time I hear Little Soul, I cry for me, I cry for Tom and I cry for our baby. I hope it brings comfort to people as well as raises awareness.” Toms wife
Tom has donated the song to global miscarriage and child loss charities including The Miscarriage association, Sands, life after loss, Baby lifeline, Spring Support and Miscarriage Support NZ. Each charity will place the song on their unique website page to encourage fans to donate money to the charity when downloading the track. Each charity has a unique page.
