Yes, the Men's Rights Movement is the same kind of animal. All of these groups share a common worldview, that the traditionally oppressed groups, be they women, minorities, or non-Christians, have somehow seized control of the country and are systematically denying the straight, white, Christian men their rights.

That's insane!

Well, yes, but don't ignore the reason for the pushback: men's traditional privileges really are under attack. It's just that these rights, like the right to beat and rape your wife with impunity, are anathema to a truly free and equitable society.

i sent an email to another poster disussing this, briefly.

"one of the porn threads, of course biology was brought up and i called bullshit on the evolution behavior psychology crap. the man responds... there is only one gorilla community where the male is not dominant.

now of course this is blatantly saying, biology says man is dominant. not a reaction from anyone other poster.

today, with women's freedom and independence, that alone says, not reality. but in males head and the reinforcement with porn and hetero male porn all directed to male dominance, not to mention women only being presented as sluts, whore, porn or stripper, they think this."

5. One of the comments on that piece is really revealing...

someone asked where are all the MRA's on boy soldiers in Africa? Where are they on the issues of macho/violent culture, and the tradition of berating and mocking little boys until they learn to bottle up and be ashamed of their emotions, psychologically crippling them, many of them for life?

Where are their campaigns against all the popular tv shows that portray men as idiots who think with their dicks?

They don't care about men's rights, they just want to prevent women from making any more progress.

7. Men already have rights

For centuries, men had political rights, entitlements, and freedoms based on being men. Under medieval Christian laws, legal and religious tradition dictated that rights to make decisions and take actions that influence both partners have lain with the male. In many countries, men STILL have rights over women. In China, a man can legally ue his wife for having an abortion (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/1883709.stm). If men really cared about equality, they would speak up against this injustice.

No, they don't care about men's rights or anybody's rights. They don't even care about human rights.

They want to take us back to the middle ages.
