Previous court orders limiting anti-abortion protests at a Sacramento clinic were expanded Friday in a temporary restraining order that applies to other protesters.
"Their purpose is to prevent women from getting abortions," said attorney Mark Merin, who represents Women's Health Specialists, formerly known as the Feminist Women's Health Center. The center was firebombed in 1992.
Merin won the temporary restraining order in Sacramento Superior Court against Harry Reeves, executive director of Sanctity of Human Life Network, an anti-abortion group.
The protest restrictions, which prohibit anyone from blocking clinic users and employees from coming and going from the facility, were expanded to five identified people and others who violate the court orders. <snip>
