Holy shit! Has anyone heard of this brutality?
Genital mutilation is, I think, a reasonable well-known practice, but I confess that this is the first time I've heard of breast ironing. Call me ethnocentric, but both strike me as indefensibly barbaric.

1. Good GOD... the ways they find to TORTURE women and girls because MEN
can't control themselves is astounding.

HOW ABOUT IRONING MEN'S PENISES instead?

education and simple human rights are the best solutions to most problems.

8. of course...
....I was being deliberately fascicious. But if it's "realistic" to torture women because men can't control themselves, then why isn't it "realistic" or accepted to torture the men who can't control themselves, instead?

Absolutely education, equality and basic human rights are the correct way to deal with this sort of thing.

4. Cultures. They probably think that slicing open....
breast with a knife and putting plastic in them so they look larger inorder to attract males is also a bit strange.

What can I say?!!!!!

5. Clever, but that's not really a great analogy
If prepubescent American girls were forcibly sliced open to have breast implants inserted, then the comparison would stand up better. As it is, I'd have to guess that cases of involuntary installation of breast implants in minors is relatively rare.

FWIW, most American guys I know think that breast implants for purely cosmetic reasons are rather strange, but if the decision is left to the woman, then that's her business.

Of course, long-term implant saftey is its own issue, but that's really separate from what we're discussing here.

6. Yeah, because that's exactly the same thing...
Some words to ponder from the article:

"They cried and said it was painful"

"side-effects, including severe pain and abscesses, infections, breast cancer, and even the complete disappearance of one or both breasts."

"Massaging the breasts with hot objects is painful, very painful, and can completely destroy the breasts,"

"She then removed the stone holding it with a thick cloth to protect her hands, and placed it my breasts and started ironing them," she stated. "I felt so much pains that I started crying. After that she bandaged my breasts with a band called breast-band ... She did this to me for two and a half months."

"This was very painful, and every evening before I slept, she would put a big elastic belt well fastened round my chest to flatten my breasts."

"38 percent of girls developing breasts under the age of 11 had undergone the procedure."

The lengths to which we will go to justify or excuse the brutalization of women (in this case, young girls, children.) But hey, it's just "their culture", right?

7. everything always circles back around to rape

most men just cannot grasp how destructive rape is to the world of women.

all over the world mothers try to save their daughters from rape. rape by family men and rape by strange men.

not getting raped occupies our minds. even into old age we are raped.

rapists should be imprisoned for life. no parole ever.

Congress should be equally divided between men and women. when only men make the rules, women and children suffer.

9. "when only men make the rules, women and children suffer"
Now THAT is the truth. And I agree about Congress. It should be a requirement that it is equally divided between the sexes.
