The Anti sit
Edited on Wed May-23-07 04:03 AM by undergroundpanther
Anti Sit Stoops Anti rest benches.. Covered in spikes.
Ever see this on the street? it is a subtle form of class war.Subtle until YOU sit on it.
This spiking of rest places sends a clear message of how DARE you sit down and rest or socialize where THE STATE has not permitted you to sit and socialize..You must sit and socialize in stores and Pay to be there and you must socialize under supervision.. No MOVE..!

Move along Pedestrians, get to work, Go home and stay in your house until you get up to WORK.. Don't you DARE sit down to rest on the streets, and socialize with others in the street.MOVE...
Why the evil looking anti sit spikes on everything from benches to fire hydrants?? What's wrong with resting a moment in the street?

Our elitist evil culture insists poor must be harassed until they die, lest they socialize and commiserate and the face of the cause of their misery be revealed... And the rich are offended and afraid of loiterers and the homeless. So they keep people from sitting down like businesses once put spikes on window ledges to keep pigeons from resting there..

Hmm Anyone handy with a torch?
Maybe it's time to re- install those spikes into the driveways and ledges and sidewalks and hide them in the manicured lawns and country club golf courses of wealthy gated communities where wealthy live.Send the rich piggies a pointed message. Bite them back right in THEIR decadent asses.
Go here take a look

1. I've only seen those on private property,
not in publicly owned spaces. I still think it's incredibly rude, but there's not much anyone can do about it.

I think you are right though, there is a general trend towards engineering people out of public spaces and into commercial spaces.
