The Worst Jobs in History
The history we are taught usually features the lives and times of the great and the good, of the haves and not the have-nots. But the famous aristocrats and monarchs could not have existed without the battalions of minions who performed the tasks that were beneath their masters.

In this website, we take you on a journey through 2,000 years of British history and the worst jobs of each era. Tony Robinson, presenter of the Channel 4 series, has devised a quiz to see how suited you would be to certain jobs in the past. The skills agency learndirect has provided information on current offbeat careers, and finally, we show you how to take your interest further.

Though I think the Viking sailor would be the most fun.

3. The link talks about the ploughman's coulter.
The coulter is his sharp blade for digging dirt (the ground), in about 1000 A.D. Seriously, is this the origin of the name Coulter, as in Ann(e) Coulter?

5. first thing that came up for me was an Executioner
it was a while ago, so I don't remember the other ones. I scored a 30, so just one above total waste. Sounds like my parents were telling the truth!

4. yuck....
70 to 100 You’re bold as brass and brave as a lion, but not such a messy pup. You might be prepared to cope with being an Arming squire with its potential for you becoming a knight, but you’re actually ideally suited to some of the high-risk worst jobs such as Topman, Powder monkey, fish-fingered Viking sailor/warrior, outnumbered Riding officer, Petardier's assistant or even Guillemot-egg collector.
