Target selling rabbit fur purses. Please write them.

I just received this post from one of my animal rights groups. I just sent them a very scathing e-mail. Original message below:


Looking on Target's website, they don't appear to be selling much
real fur, but they are selling rabbit fur handbags. When they
responded to my email complaint, they gave me some misleading
information, so I'd really to see some of their responses to other
people's complaints.

Please contact Target and ask them to stop selling rabbit fur and
implement a Fur Free policy. If you get a response back from them,
please forward it to me at [e-mail]

I thought I was safe going up to Target. I wrote them a letter. WTF do they want to sell fur for???????? :mad:

I am a long time customer of your company. I have a Wal Mart less than 10 miles from my home, however I travel a little over 25 miles to shop at Target instead. In fact, my mother, sister and a few good friends do the same. We choose not to patronize Wal Mart for several reasons, primarily ethical.

It was recently brought to my attention that the Target company is now selling rabbit fur handbags. Whether or not your company has sold fur in the past, I do not know. I do know that my family, friends and I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION of patronizing your company until this stops. Fur is absolutely unacceptable and I refuse to give a dime of my hard earned money to a company that is so obviously irreverent of animal welfare and suffering.

I urge you to put an immediate end to any and all fur sales. I was under the impression that Target was a company concerned with respectable causes and issues, however I can see I was misled. It's all about the bottom line, one that I refuse to contribute to until this stops.

3. Even better...pay them a visit.

Go to your local store and look for this item. If found, seek out a manager and complain directly to him/her. You don't have to make a scene, just a polite complaint stating that you'll not shop there until they cease to sell items containing fur.
