You have to try this stuff!
http://www.goodkarmafoods.com/

I saw it for the first time at Trader Joe's tonight and got two pints. It's as richly flavored as Soy Delicious but with a light airy texture. Really really good stuff. :9

1. I hate, Hate, HATE their website!!
Why does "vegan" always come with so much airy-fairy precious nonsense attached to it? Am I the only non-New Age, skeptical, rational vegan on Earth?

That said, I'm going straight out after work tomorrow to get some.

2. Not at all.
Actually, that describes many more of the vegans I know than the flower child stereotype, though there seems to be a bit of a generational divide there.

I find that Good Karma name kinda lame too, both because it's a bit exclusionary to those of us who don't believe in such things and because it seems rather shitty and disrespectful to commercialize the sincere beliefs of those who do. It's good shit though, so I'll deal, like I do every time I buy a pack of Ezekiel buns for my veggie burgers, or when I skim over the bible bits in Dr McDougall's books or in Diet for a New America.

6. Relief! : )
I'm weary of a lot of the baggage that comes along with the vegan lifestyle. Just because I'm at the health food store picking up some Tofu Scrambler doesn't mean I want to buy ear candles and a crystal healing book!

And a big :hi: to you too, BuffyTheFundieSlayer!

7. Sadly, veg*ns do have a rep for being flighty "New Agers"
You mentioned the ear candles, which made me think of this item, which was posted in the Skeptics forum a while back. ;-) (It's satire, btw)
