1. Thanks for posting this. It was very refreshing to see....
...a vastly positive veggie thread, outside of our group. I wish some of those posted more over here. I didn't even know some of them were veggies.

2. I'll go post a link, in case some of them don't know about the group.
Actually, maybe it would be better if you do it. I have a certain reputation.

3. O.K. I will, though it's not like I have a sterling reputation, myself...
...

4. Yeah, but we can't all be LeftyMom: Rabid Attack Vegan.

I'm just enthusiastic, that's all. You know how big dogs scare the pants off people when they're just overfriendly? Like that, but with recipes. :P

5. Thanks for the support!
I visit here from time to time. I get run off when a PETA thread or two get started. Not a fan of PETA's, so when people are praising them here, I find it better for everyone for me to be somewhere else. I wander back eventually, though it's been a while.

6. That's cool.
But don't feel run off. Just hide the thread (about PETA) if it's not what you want to see. Even I have issues with PETA from time to time. I praise the good, bury my head in my hands at the bad.

It's never "better" for you to be somewhere else, IMO. I know that I like seeing you here (there, and everywhere around DU). I also would say that if you visit or wander here, see me saying something that makes you wish you were elsewhere, please please please, send me a PM and tell me why you think that something is so full of shit that you want to not be here. There is no understanding without dialogue, and I have as much to learn/gain from it as I might have to share.

7. It's not such a big deal
One of PETA's ads got too close to home (I mean that literally, close to my home) over a shark attack, so I've felt the pain they cause people on the other end of their ads. I don't want to squash anyone else's discussion, so I just hang out elsewhere. And being vegetarian isn't usually something I think about as a daily part of my life, it's just what I am, so I don't always have anything to say about it. There were a couple of posts in the Lounge that bothered me on "carnivores" (you saw the thread) so I tried to post a positive counter to them. Got me back in a vegetarian awareness mood, for now. :)

8. Ah, yes, the
sharks are taking revenge ads.

Not the best use of donations, no. It did make folks talk about it, and that's a big part of their goal. Plus, I also think that sometimes, PETA has her hand pushed. Like, PETA kind of HAS to respond to anything regarding animals. Working defense to create an offense, it seems.

At least you know that you're always welcome here, and post whatever you want. Personally, come on...have you READ some of the stuff I say? I'm the biggest idiot here in the Tofu Ghetto, always shooting my mouth off, getting in trouble. Elad needs a voodoo doll for me (when he sees something that I'm going to go off on, he JABS a needle in my hands so I can't type). Seriously, open mind and open forum. It's all good.
