Anybody Else Here Boycotting China?
I am.

We should not be doing business with this country!

Their human rights and their animal rights records are absolutely deplorable.

We should not buy anything Chinese!

Boycotting them all as much as humanly possible and telling the companies that I refuse to do business why that's so. I'm also supporting those organizations working to change the way things are perceived and done.

BTW, welcome to the Tofu Ghetto a/k/a the VVAR Group!!

2. Hey - back at you.
I really want to get serious here about being a vegetarian.

And about boycotting China. I think they are by far and away the worst of the worst.

3. You've definitely come to the right place. Great folks here.
If you're into cooking, I highly recommend the "Recipes only" thread, stickied at the top of the board.

While I agree that China is probably the worst in terms of outright atrociousness, I think much of that is based on culture. Tis no excuse, but it puts it in a different perspective on the "why" in their reasoning. Indeed something to work towards changing, as has been done all over the world.

4. I don't think I care about the "why" anymore.
What they are doing to both their animals and their people is so awful, so over the top, that we should not have anything to do with them.

Trouble is - they are becoming a major player in the world.

But that may also work to the good. I hope so.

5. I'm trying like hell to do it
so my answer is YES. It is very difficult. Almost everything is mad e in China. I'll buy made in Mexico, made in Taiwan, made anywhere else but China. Not only are they inhumane, their products are very bad for the environment and most of them end up in landfills not long after they are made being they are junk.
