Animal Activists Free Mink From Farm (Spain)
When I was a little girl my friend's mom was an actress and we used to love to sneak in her room and try on her mink coat...now that I know how the animals live and die for those coats I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole!

2. They might kill other animals, but don't know how to hunt or fish?
Who are these idiots, and why do they get quoted in the same article?

"Carrillo said that most of those that got away will probably starve to death in a matter of days because they were raised in captivity and do not know how to hunt or fish."

or

"Benito Reza said the people who freed the latest batch "did them no favor whatsoever" because they cannot survive in the wild and that the mink are ornery carnivores who might attack other animals and birds."

Nice work by the activists, most certainly.

7. I am really against this kind of stuff.
I lived in Salt Lake City (where there used to be lots of mink farms) when a whole lot of mink got lose. I think they had a fire but it was a long time ago.

Thos animals are absolutely helpless when out on their own. They just die horrible deaths. And they are not an animal that rescuers can just go out and pick up - they can't be handled.

I hate the whole fur industry - don't get me wrong. But setting these animals lose is doing a horrible thing to them.

We need to just do away with the fur industry.
