The post in the link is gone, but I know from other posts that being a Dem doesn't negate indifference towards non-humans. I've been told by some that killing animals is OK because "God gave us dominion over the Earth and the animals" and "The Bible says we can eat meat, including specifying which types are ok and not ok". And who can argue with what the Bible says? :sarcasm:
