I have never blindly endorsed all religious practices verbatim since I witnessed the nuns in grammar school abusing us, the children, at that time....many decades ago.

2. Thanks. The whole situation is pretty amazing

The monks have a statement about the PETA investigation on their website, saying they refuse to speak with PETA or other animal advocates about this. I'm just hugely disappointed in their cruelty and their stubbornness. Maybe they can be persuaded if they hear from enough people.
