Holy cow, I bought some shoes!
Okay, they don't feel cute, but I haven't had real arch support (other than the Garamonds) for years! I've held onto some old pairs of Chucks and I wear those a lot, but you know how your feet feel after a whole day walking in those. I've hated buying shoes for a very, very long time and I sort of gave up on the whole thing, but today I found some!

For the first time ages, I have SNEAKERS! Trail runners without leather!

I feel like the queen of the whole shoe rack!

2. They're Adidas.
Adidas Traxion Boreals, and I got them at Fred Meyer for $55! (They're available online--the picture I put up is from zappo's, where they're selling them for $64. Here's the men's version of the shoe.) I think Freddy's might be a west coast thing, but it's a lower-end department & food store.

I'm SO excited!

Shoes for me!

3. Thanks for the heads up.
I was actually heading to Ballard/Fremont today - maybe I'll stop in at Freddy's and see if they have them.

4. I actually got them at the Burien store.
They were having a 'buy one pair, get the second for half price' sale.

(I like to go to the Burien store sometimes if I have to hit Trader Joe's, too. I secretly believe that the Burien store is cheaper, too.)

Happy day to you!

6. I bought some CUTE biking shoes in Rio last month
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 10:44 AM by peacebuzzard
since we are on a shopping thread and shoes......

I, too, have not bought anything for myself in a long, long time.

1. no leather
2. political reasons for geographical area merchandise.

so, finally while in Rio visiting my sister who is ill, I wanted to go biking in the park, but guess what? My sneakers were 5000 miles away! So, my biking day was spent taking the bike in for a tune up (flat tire, rusted cable, brakes: repair cost: 15 bucks)
and shopping for sneakers! Here is a pic but I bought identical to this in my favorite color: blue.

My biking day ended, and I had a flight that night; but next time I go, I will be totally prepared!

I, too am proud of my vegan shoes!

P.S. cost of shoes: 12 bucks. (not a bad shopping day!)
