I hope reading it converts me the rest of the way to vegetarianism

I still eat fish , chicken, cheese, and eggs occasionally.

I'm just a wanna be:spank:

1. Well, you'll never eat sausage again, that's for sure.
I read that in 9th or 10th grade (my memory's slipping...) and still shudder thinking about it.

4. Love those Morningstar breakfast patties.
In fact, I eat them every morning. Kroger just had a sale on them this week at 3 packages for $8. They are usually $3.39 each. I stocked up.

3. Great book.
Then update it with Fast Food Nation, if you haven't read that already.

Then try some great meat substitute products like _Quorn_, and you'll realize that you'll never really miss meat at all.

I still eat some cheese, free-range eggs, and some fish occasionally, like sardines (check _Seafood Watch_). There's absolutely no reason to be an unhappy vegetarian.

Good luck! :hi:

6. I am reading Fast Food Nation
and it is a real eye opener! It is fascinating how the fast food industry has affected so many areas of life, and NOT for the good.

I have never heard of Quorn, but I will definately check it out!:hi:

5. good luck
that book is heartbreaking on many levels...good to read to get someone to be pro-union as as well. I recently tried to re-read it and didn't even make it a quarter of a way through.
