Surry Co. prosecutor says he's "very close" to indictments in Vick case

As of late Monday morning, Surry Co. Commonwealth's Attorney Gerald Poindexter had yet to decide whether to seek charges against Michael Vick during Tuesday’s Grand Jury session.

"It's very possible the case will be presented" to a grand jury, Poindexter said. "Then again, it may not. I don't know."

When asked if Poindexter still hoped to eventually indict Vick and three co-defendants on dogfighting charges, he said, "Yes, absolutely. That's a promise to you."
