Happy Thanksgiving, Michael Vick
Michael Vick to spend Thanksgiving holiday in rural Virginia jail

WARSAW, Va. - The Northern Neck Regional Jail doesn't have the comforts of Michael Vick's Georgia mansion, but at least the disgraced quarterback will get to enjoy a hot turkey dinner this Thanksgiving. And, perhaps, a non-contact visit with a loved one.

Vick unexpectedly turned himself in Monday and will be housed at the jail until his sentencing on a federal dogfighting charge in three weeks. He faces up to five years in prison.

Jail officials wouldn't discuss their new celebrity inmate, but a peek inside the facility provided a glimpse of what life for the Atlanta Falcons quarterback will be like in the coming days. And it's not exactly festive.

Meals are delivered to each of the jail's 20 housing units. Thursday's will be extra special in honour of the U.S. Thanksgiving: turkey, stuffing, rice, cranberry sauce and sweet potato pie.

REMINDER: The indictment by the state still has yet to go to trial. This ain't over.

1. He wouldn't be turning himself in to do time in advance, ....
...unless his attorney has already been told he'll be doing time after the sentencing phase. Of course it's been suggested/known he's going to get time, but this confirms it. And for what I've heard, the judge is a modern day Judge Roy Bean.

2. He's looking to start his time quickly on the federal charges
hoping that in a year he can be back in the NFL.

Good luck, fucker.

No weight lifting in that facility. You've got at least a year of body-only resistance training.

Have at training camp IF you get there in a year.

mark.

3. You know, he's still going to be living better than....
...a dog who was hanging from a rope, until its body became lifeless. Or a dog held under water, until it could no longer kick for its life. Will this - as you aptly said - fucker ever truly understand what he has done? I wonder.

4. Yep, that's why they will have to kill me
to be rid of me.

No worries...there's a campaign that is set to straight up ruin Vick. And, there's good money behind it.

No pity, no remorse.

Just...Endgame.

5. No "humane" punishment would serve justice for what he did.
The only silver lining to this is that it has raised the consciousness of so many to what is actually going on in what can only be called dog-fighting hell.

6. I hope he chokes on his turkey & ends face down in his sweet potato pie.
:grr:

I realize my statement lacks compassion, but some human beings don't deserve compassion.

7. Well, now he has some time to mull over PETA's empathy seminar.
Lots and lots of time.
